There is a strike by public sector workers on Wednesday 30th November and there may be a possible disruption to refuse collection services in the Borough of Havant on the day of strike action. A news release by Havant Borough Council says the following:

Residents of the Borough of Havant are advised by Havant Borough Council to put out their recycling bin as normal on their collection day. Should the bin not be collected residents are to continue to put out their recycling bin for collection each morning by 7.00 am until the end of this week.

If their bin has not been collected by the end of the day - Friday 2nd December 2011 residents should return their bin to within their properties and put it out for the next scheduled recycling collection.

Please see the Havant Borough Council Website for more updates on the strike.

I must live on the MOON! I put my bin out really early and when I came home from work it had been emptied, I then watched the TV and see that the bin men in my area were on strike, Yet it seamed that not all of the bin men agreed with the strike action so I thank the ones who stayed at work and emptied my bin

I put my bin out and it was emptied so luckily the rubbish collection was not disrupted by the strike.
