Havant's Public Service Plaza brand new conference room is put to use.

A first full council meeting was held last week in the new main conference room in the Public Service Plaza in Havant.

These facilities are high quality, flexible and state-of-the-art with modern technology for conference/training requirements. They can now be booked by businesses and local community organisations and by the public themselves for a wide variety of uses including conferences, exhibitions, social events and performance.  

Normal hiring times are between 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday, although there is flexibility if these hours do not suit your needs. The hire charges vary depending on the room size and requirements. Councillor Mike Cheshire, portfolio holder for marketing and development said;" We are delighted with the new facilities, and are proud to encourage businesses and members of the public to take advantage of them when not in use for council business.

"This is an opportunity for the council to generate a form of income to help alleviate the pressures on the budgets in the current economic climate. It also enables the community to use this building to hold their meetings and events at a central location."
